Such a prolific artist who creates such deep and meaningful music. The listener is forced to take in the very multi layered atmospheric instrumentation. What he’s doing is so different and unique in music by comparison to his peers. This is one of my very favorites of his solo albums. The back to back tracks of Cornelius and Solitary Slip really make this album for me. Such contrasting sounds but equally as brilliant lyrics and delivery. Yimmy Kil

I've only owned this album for a day, but I can't get enough of it already. It's just so quiet, stunning, raw and moving. Reminds me of Nick Drake and Ryan Adams mixed in one. It's just incredible. Thank you jane willow

1st time i heard DeathWish, i turned it off.
felt rushed, not the Isbell i've come to admire. really grab'd me when i took time to listen on the 2nd try. the writing on these songs stopped me in my tracks more than once. raw talent with just enough polish in the delivery.
thankyou Jason + 400 for another keeper swirlingmadness
